How does it work?
Hozah AutoPay is a fully automated parking payment service designed to make parking payments simple and convenient for drivers. Once an AutoPay account has been set up correctly, drivers do not need to manually make a payment each time they park at a Hozah-enabled car park.
When a driver creates an AutoPay account, they add their vehicle registration number and valid payment details to their account. These details allow the system to identify the vehicle and process the parking payment automatically.
When the registered vehicle enters a Hozah-enabled car park, the parking system detects the vehicle's entry and records the start of the parking session. When the vehicle leaves the car park, the system detects the exit and records the end of the session.
The system then calculates the applicable parking charge based on the driver's length of stay and the parking terms and charges that apply at that location. The payment is processed automatically using the payment card registered to the driver's AutoPay account.
This means that, once the account is correctly set up, the driver does not need to:
- Find a payment machine.
- Enter their vehicle registration manually at a payment machine.
- Make a separate payment when leaving the car park.
- Take any additional action to complete the parking payment, provided the AutoPay account, vehicle registration and payment details are valid.
After the parking session has been completed and the payment has been successfully settled, an automatic receipt is sent to the email address registered to the driver's AutoPay account. The receipt provides confirmation of the parking payment and allows the driver to keep a record of the transaction.
Hozah AutoPay is a digital payment services that enable drivers to pay for parking without having to carry cash, download another app, or worry about potential Parking Charge Notices. In order to provide our service, we charge a small convenience fee dependent on the location.
The convenience fee is stated on our web page, shown during the sign-up process for AutoPay. Hozah charges the convenience fee in order for our service to run, but we do not set the parking tariff levels in each location.
It is therefore important that drivers ensure their vehicle registration, payment card and registered email address are correct and up to date. If any of these details are incorrect, the system may not be able to correctly identify the vehicle, process the payment, or send the receipt.
