Hozah Autopay will automatically detect you entering and exiting a car park, and will charge you for the time that you have used.
Occasionally you may forget that the car park has Hozah Autopay enabled, and so you may pay by an alternative method. Unfortunately, as Hozah Autopay is a completely separate payment system to these other methods, there is no way to automatically identify the alternative payment method, so you will also be charged by Hozah.
If this happens, Hozah recommend that you contact your alternative payment provider to issue a refund. If you are unable to do this, you can raise a support case with us by clicking here. Please note, you will need to provide evidence of your alternative payment method in order for us to issue you with a refund.
How do I prevent this from happening again?
There are a few ways in which you can prevent this from happening again:
- When using a Hozah Autopay enabled car park, do not use an alternative payment method. As long as you have an active Autopay account with your vehicle registered, you will not receive any Parking Charge Notices, so you can rely on Autopay as your primary payment method.
- Remove the vehicle in question from your account. We know that sometimes you'll add vehicles for your friends and family, so to make sure you don't get charged for their parking, you can login to https://my.hozah.com/dashboard and remove the vehicle from your account.
- Delete your account - we'd be sad to see you go, and this puts you at risk of receiving Parking Charge Notices, but if you would prefer to remove your account completely, you can do this by submitting a support request.
